Riding lessons & training

Riding lessons for beginners and experienced riders of any age.

We offer daily riding lessons for beginners and experienced riders of any age on well-trained riding school horses and ponies. In addition, there are professional dressage and showjumping lessons. The riding students learn how to interact correctly with the horses, how to care for them and receive sound basic training in traditional riding style. Lessons are held in German, English or French.

The “classroom lessons” for first-time riders take place in our indoor school or in the outdoor school. There are also numerous routes through the Saanenland – in Gruben, to Feutersoey or to Saanen. In winter, the groomed riding pistes in the snow and the extensive winter riding trails are a big highlight.

We hope you have lots of fun and pleasant experiences with our horses and ponies.

Riding equipment

  • It is compulsory to wear a helmet with a three-point harness.

  • Back protection is compulsory for children and recommended for adults.

  • Please wear sturdy shoes with heels which reach your ankle joint. In this way, you will prevent the risk of your feet slipping through and getting stuck in the stirrup.

General information

The riding school horses are ridden regularly by us and we ensure that they meet the current training standards.

We would be delighted if you are interested in learning to interact with horses and care for them, but we ask that you comply with safety regulations and do not do anything without supervision from our employees.

Reservations & cancellation

  • Lesson times vary from 30 to 50 minutes.

  • We kindly request that you arrive at the facility at least 10 minutes before the scheduled starting time.

  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the appointment. The only reason we accept for cancellations made at short notice is an illness.

It is up to the riders to obtain accident insurance cover. We recommend that you take out the additional option “riding third-party horses” under your personal liability insurance policy.
